Horgi Ned (Lønahorgi Down) is an nontraditional triathlon in which we have swapped running with downhill skiing, road biking with enduro-mtb and swimming with white water kayaking.

Online registration opens 1st of April 2018.

Right now, there are tons of snow in the mountains, but the final decision will be made two weeks prior to the competition.

Plan A
Part 1- Skiing
The first leg of the race starts at Lønahorgi. There will be mass start and you will follow a marked course down to Afdalsstølen.

Part 2 – Enduro-Mtb/Downhillbiking
After you´ve completed the skiing course, you will need to quickly change gear and jump on your mountain bike. From here you have to bike a long, but fun singletrack to Strandaelva.

Part 3 – Kayaking
At Strandaelva change into your kayaking gear and launch into the river. During good water flows the most challenging rapids can be up to grade 4, thus you have to be at minimum an intermediate kayaker with a reliable roll. The race ends with a blast at the bottom of a rapid called Kåre.
